I’ve realized I love lists. *They’re short. *They help me get organized. *They convey meaning in a concise way. *It’s fun crossing items off them. *They help me remember to do stuff. See? I love them. It’s too bad I didn’t have a list this weekend, because it would have said: *Monday’s with Mandy or Mira Blog Post! And as you can see, today is Tuesday. So, while not even realizing this until 3am this morning, I started pondering what in the world I was going to write about. And this whole idea of list making came to me. To expand on my love of lists: *I love list poetry. *I love picture books that contain lists. *I love brainstorming lists. *I love sharing lists with others. Some of my blog posts have included lists of: *100 plus character driven books *100 plus picture book agents *Publishers accepting unsolicited manuscripts *Dialogue only picture books *2nd person POV picture books *Resources for writing character driven picture books *Resources for writing rhyming picture books And today, I’d like to add another blog post to the list of lists: Princess Books for Girls who Love Princesses and Parents Who Hate Them. Now, I have to admit, I am stealing this list from Tom B. I’m compiling what he had on his list, plus what was listed in the comments, and additional ones I can think of. I love this list of books because: *(Some) Parents are sick of reading and rereading: Poofy princesses in a pile of perfection. *Girls need to see princesses in another light. *Writers need to see good twists on the princess “hook.” *And darn it, these are just good books. And here it is! For your convenience in a downloadable PDF. So... 1.Download it. 2. Read It. 3. Check out a few new ones. 4. Comment below and tell me your favorites or any others I need to add! ![]()

I also love lists so I really like a post with lists! I've already reserved the frozen pea story at the library. I'm working on a (non-frozen) pea story and I certainly don't want to miss any peas. I'm signed up and ready for the Chapter Book Alchemist course! Glad you're going to be one of the instructors. :-)

Oh, these all look amazing!! I wish I could buy them all, right now I'm just hoping I can find half of them at my library (my library is a little behind the times). And I love lists too!!

So glad to meet another list lover! (I'm going to guess you also like sticky notes, new notebooks, and the smell of school supplies in the fall.) :) Or not...but it seems appropriate.
