Prompts 7 & 8

Prompt 7. Astro the Chimpanzee gives a tour of the Apollo 8 space shuttle. What kind of mayhem might happen?

Prompt #8. A cat and a dog are best friends but trouble ensues when their owner buys a bird. What happens and how does it work out?

This morning the whole household is aflutter. The master of the house brings a beautiful exotic bird into the parlor. The bird has a stunning yellow belly with a lovely lime green head and stunning touquoise wings. The master places the bird on a tall mahogany perch, safely out of reach from his household pets, Clytaemnestra, the cat and Dulles the dog.

Immediately, Clytaemnestra, the conniving cat is jealous but she smiles and licks her lips. "I'll have that pretty plump little morsel for lunch!" Dulles, the dog, who isn't very bright, is quickly tricked into helping Clytaemnestra hatch her evil plan. (Unfortunately I don't have time to flesh this one out the way I'd like but ...)

As fate would have it, the evil plan backfires. The silly cat and her dim witted sidekick end up getting trapped in their own contraption. The plump little bird who surprises us all with his perfect diction, is able to tap on the keys of the master's wife's cell phone and call for help. the Firemen come to rescue the naughty trapped Cat and Dog.

Once saved, our humiliated and remorseful Kitty and Hound thank their plumed hero effusively for saving them. They all settle by the fireplace for a nice rest beside their bone, catnip and seeds, respectively. It remains a mystery to the humans who phoned for help, but WE know, tee-hee!

The End

Cat and Dog hatch a plan to get rid of Bird while their owner is away at work. They knock the cage over and Bird goes flying out. A chase ensues. Bird realizes he can't hide forever. Bird decides to win Dog and Cat over by breaking into the cupboards and giving them treats. Bird carries the wrappers back to his cage and takes the blame from Owner and wins the respect of Cat and Dog.
