Not too long ago, we ran the Picture Book Palooza, which was pretty extraordinary. And apart from my upcoming Craft and Business of Writing Children's Picture Books co-teacher/partner in crime, Sterling editor Rachael Stein, and our Writing Wonderful Character-Driven Picture Books co-teacher Marsha Diane Arnold, every one else was a former student and boy did it make me proud! There's a Yiddish word "kvell", which means being proud of, or bursting with pride, and that's how I truly felt seeing my student's successes and generosity in passing it on. Luckily, all this fab free material is still available for a little longer if you are interested in writing or learning about children's picture books from a phenomenal group of authors and two editors just click this link to join us here!

I also made two super short videos for the Palooza, which I'd like to share with you below. I feel so honored that I got to help these beautiful authors and illustrators launch their careers editing and art directing their first books. Bravo Kourtney LaFavre and Saki Tanaka! Bravo Vanessa Keel and Adriana Hernandez Bergstrom!

FIRST UP IS: "IF SUN COULD SPEAK" by Kourtney LaFavre and Saki Tanaka

Next is the also wonderful "BOOMER AT YOUR SERVICE" by Vanessa Keel and Adriana Hernandez Bergstrom.

I'd like to end with a little service announcement. If you'd like to radically improve your chances of picture book publishing while learning the craft and biz of this field with fantastic submission opportunities, and have a really extraordinary time in the process, please join us right here for Rachael's and my highly-interactive e-course starting August 26th!
