We have such a sweet picture book today that falls in the genre of "character driven" picture books, where the relationships are more important than plot. It's also an "opposites attract" compare and contrast story that sets up a nice rhythm AND it has delightful illustrations as well. What's not to like?
Turns out it was written by fellow Aussie Aaron Blabey, who it turns out is the current Australian Literacy Ambassador. Way to go Aaron! His website is lots of fun as well http://www.aaronblabey.com.
